This kit demonstrates the production of callus tissue from a root explant, and the recovery of whole, cloned carrot plants from the callus.

The cells of the callus can be examined as well as stages of the development of the whole plant from the embryoid. Callus tissue can be maintained indefinitely in culture and provides a useful starting point for project work.

Kit contains sufficient materials for up to thirty students/student groups.
