MEDLINE Electric Burner
This electric burner has been designed for use with Borosilicate Glass (e.g. Pyrex) and is supplied with a protection grill that when attached minimises the risk of accidental burns. There is a threaded hole in the top plate for a support rod and the outer cover provides holes for the attachment of support trays.
Examples of demonstrations that can be carried out using the electric burner:
- Combustion of magnesium and other metals,
- Reduction of cupric oxide,
- Boiling water,
- Dehydration of copper sulphate crystals.
